Walkthrough
- Talk to Rotih Moalghett located at Fort Karugo-Narugo (S) (I-8, inside the Fort) for a cutscene.
- Zone into Castle Oztroja (S) for a cutscene.
- Return to Rotih Moalghett for a second cutscene.
- You will receive the Key Item: Fort Key.
- Gather all the members of your party in the lower lefthand corner of grid H-5 inside Fort Karugo-Narugo (S), and have your party leader click the Colorful Door to enter Ghoyu's Reverie.
- Everyone in the group must have the key item to enter, unless they have completed the quest before.
- (See below for Strategies)
- You are placed in West Sarutabaruta (S), right outside Windurst Waters (S) after winning the battle.
- Zone into Windurst Waters (S) for a cutscene to finish the quest and receive your reward.
- If your inventory is full and you cannot obtain the reward, speak to Romaa Mihgo at (G-11) of the northern map in Windurst Waters (S) when your inventory is clear to obtain it.
- Even if you have done the fight before, you can re-enter the fight to help others, even though you don't have the key item. They just need to be the party's leader for you to enter.
Battlefield Ghoyu's Reverie:
- This battle is uncapped and extremely similiar to the Assault Mission Blitzkrieg.
- Most Buffs do not wear off upon entering, but TP and HP Boost do.
- You will encounter a large number of Yagudo which have low attack and low HP(~200-600). The Yagudo will start near the entrance and will run into a central chamber. They have a large detection range, and will aggro after a given time if not attacked beforehand.
- One Tier 3 GA spell (Blizzaga III or Thundaga III) will easily kill every mob within range. With 2 black mages we were able to alternate killing the entire wave with one spell and cleared the fight in under 5 minutes.
- One Tier 3 is oversized. A tier II -ga by a BLM will kill everything in range. The mobs have very few HP, and seem to take extra damage from magic (Blizzaga 1 doing 350 to in upwards of 500 damage, tier 3 hitting for over 2000 at times).
- When you enter there will be a small group of Yagudo rushing towards the center room where the NM spawns after several waves.
- The monsters in this battlefield are immune to Sleep.
- After some time, an NM named Laa Yaku the Austere will appear. Once this NM is defeated, Yagudo will no longer spawn.
- Clarification is required here, Yagudo May no longer spawn after he spawns, or there might be a finite number of yagudo able to spawn in this battle, as he was the last kill on several runs due to his considerably higher HP than his minions.
- Occasionally, killing one of the Yagudo will produce an effect that will Recover MP, Recover TP, or Recover HP.
- Killing all of the Yagudo in the area will end the battle, and all party members will be transported out to West Sarutabaruta (S).
- KO will result in exp loss. Reraise does not carry over when a whole party fails the mission and is removed from the battlefield. Also, if you reraise inside the battlefield, you won't get aggro right away unless monsters are close, but will immediately aggro all monsters in the area when you unweaken.
- Failing the mission will require returning to Rotih Moalghett to obtain another Fort Key key item.
