Historical Background

In Hindu folklore, Airi was the ghost of a hunter who roamed the planet with its hounds, also ghosts. The mere sight of Airi and his hounds was enough to kill most people with fright. Anyone who survived would be shown where a great bounty of wealth was. The Airi's saliva was said to be very poisonous.
