Information
An Archaic Mirror found within a Beastmen lair such as Mamook is a targetable structure that you can destroy. The amount of Archaic Mirrors in a particular lair will increase the rate of the residents' training. The more Archaic Mirrors an area has, the faster the Beastmen in that area "level up" for Besieged and progress from "Training" to "Preparing" and finally to "Advancing".
On attacking one of these structures, they give off a siren-type noise. Defending beastmen in the area around that mirror will attack. Regardless of how far away from the Mirror they are, they will always walk to it and upon seeing it being attacked, link to whoever has hate. Clear the beastmen guarding the mirror before attacking the mirror. When defeated, they will always drop an Archaic Mirror (Item).
Alternatively, the mirror can be soloed by a Monk at 75 using Hundred Fists and taking hits from all the surrounding NMs (1), then escaping quickly using an Olduum Ring.
You can view how many Archaic Mirrors and Prisoners an area has, as well as the current status of that area's troops, by going to the in-game menu and clicking "Region Info" then "Besieged".
1 mirror will respawn every 3 game days, except for three situations:
- Mirror is destroyed while the beastmen army in that lair is in a "Preparing" stage.
- Beastmen army in that lair is "Defending."
- Beastmen army in that lair is "Attacking."
They are not guaranteed to respawn in the same order they were defeated in. When a respawn occurs, it appears to occur randomly at any mirror location that does not currently contain a mirror.
