Avatar Perpetuation Cost

The Avatar Perpetuation Cost is how many MP per tick (approx. 3 seconds) that it costs a Summoner to keep an Avatar out. This cost varies depending on the level of the Summoner and which avatar/spirit is being summoned, as seen on the chart. There are some items, listed below, that will reduce avatar perpetuation cost.

* Summoner Merit Points in "Elemental MP Cost" can reduce the base cost of spirits at level 75 to as low as 13MP/tick (same as the elemental avatars) with 5 levels of the ability.

Notes

  • The perpetuation cost will always be at a minimum of -1 MP, no matter how much reduction is granted by equipment.
  • Starting at level 25, the Summoner gains the job trait Auto Refresh, which effectively reduces the avatar perpetuation cost by 1. If the perpetuation cost is reduced to -1 by equipment, then this trait will result in zero perpetuation cost.
  • The perpetuation cost reduction from the Carbuncle Mitts is rounded up to nearest integer.
  • The Elemental Staves and Y's Scythe also increases the perpetuation cost (proportionately) of the avatar/spirit weak against the element of the weapon.
  • Astral Flow sets the perpetuation cost to zero while it is in effect.
