Historical Background

The Brave Blade first appeared in the original Final Fantasy for the NES as "Braveheart", reappearing in Final Fantasy V as the "Brave Blade". The sword also makes an appearance in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates as the "Brave Sword". This recurring weapon often showed traits befitting its name; the description in Ring of Fates reading:

"A blade made for true heroes. Those without courage find the weapon too heavy to handle."
