Dvergr
Very little is known about this species of demon. In fact, only three types of Dvergr are currently known to exist, witnessed only by the most dedicated of adventurers. These Dwarf-like demons reside upon a grotesque metallic pedestal hovering some distance overground, and hold sway over a number of possessed skulls with which they assault their target.
Dvergr are malicious creatures capable of inflicting curse, stun, and paralyze upon their assailants, and are also able to terrorize whole parties of attackers - among other deadly enfeebling maneuvers. The three Dvergr known to exist are often seen guarding chests. However, only the brave and skillful will be able to claim their treasures.

Historical Background
Dvergr is the old Norse word for "dwarf."
The word Dvergr (dwarf) and Svartalfr (black elf) is used interchangeably by Snorri Sturlusson in the Prose Edda, and the creature's appearence was much different to the current myth. Dvergar were of human size, had black hair and a livid complexion, ressembling that of a corpse. Dvergar feared sunlight and lived in caves as a result. "Black" refers to the elves' hair color, not skin color.
Skilled craftsmen, Dwarves made many items, among which:
- The spear of Odin, Gungnir.
- The hammer of Thor, Mjollnir.
- The necklace of Freya, Brisingamen.
- Gleipnir, the chain that bound Fenrir.
