Do they stack to 12? 99? -Gahoo

Good catch. I believe the 1-units stack to 99. Strangely, the 100-units only stack to 12 according to Alla. (The 10,000 currency may not stack at all, given the trend. If I had 99,999,999 gil, I could find out, though! I've caught several people bazaaring them on Ramuh.)
Sorry, yeah, I'll add the data. -Maledict

Okay, I'm wrong. Somepage and Alla (elsewhere) claim all currencies stack to 99. This may not be as easy as I'd previously thought. I'll change it to the "more popular" version and hope it's correct. -Maledict

Now that I think about it, 1s and 100s have to stack to 99, or else you couldn't trade 100 of them for the conversion. If they stacked to 12 the most you could trade would be 96. --Gahoo 11:49, 3 Nov 2005 (PST)

Yeah, true. Unless the Gobs kept count the same way those two brothers keep count of Moat Carp—

Why 10,000-unit Currency stacks to 99, though...That's an interesting question. Convenience move for LSes who hoard upgrade materials for their members? My mind boggles at anyone who'd hoard 990,000 of any item in this game. I mean, it should make sense, since it's technically a type of currency, thus placing it in comparison with Gil (granted, a comparison with major disparity; singles can go for 10-50K on Ramuh), but...Meh. -Maledict

Stealing Ancient Currency?

I can usually steal 2 or 3 single pieces per dynamis run, varying with the area, however, on the 100 piece pages I noticed it says those can also be stolen. Does anyone have any more information on stealing 100s- For that matter, more information on stealing singles as well? Which mobs have better success rates? Which/if any areas have better success rates? Any info related to stealing ancient currency would be greatly appreciated.

Been doing Dynamis a long time, 100 pieces cannot be stolen, only singles. --CharitwoTalk 03:14, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Fixed. As for success rates, swapping in Steal+1 gear is your best bet, cities are more successful than Northlands. --CharitwoTalk 03:17, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

At the moment, I have +6 steal on my steal set, been hoping to get the AF2 pants and a bartholomew's knife to help though. Thanks for the info. --Venlo 05:17, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
