I believe Plenilune Embrace may be Max Hp based. Because I fought this one Gnole and it used it 4 times each time resulting in 489hp healed. --Ash 06:51, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

I fought three of these the day of the release, each time it used Plenilune Embrace is recovered 1197 HP. --Mitsukai-Hawke 07:15, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Wow none Ive fought have done it for that high. It seems to change with the moom phase. Cause all of them have been healing 229 at 10% New Moon --Ash

Detection?

Just got aggrod by a Lobison in Jugner[S] with invisible up. I'm thinking that either that particular mob was true-sight, all gnoles have a small hearing radius or maybe that it's detection varies based on moon phase. What do you all think? --Futan 10:34, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

I tested this on all 3 current mobs, it seems that Lobison is aggressive to both sight and sound at the present time. Gnole and Decrepit Gnole are sight only. See more discussion on this at Talk:Lobison. --ЩåΫķẮ †Talk† 06:08, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Call of the Moon

call of the moon can't be dispelled or finaled

Magic Attack Boost?

Some ability Alpha Gnole Anders does allows him to gain Magic Attack Boost, or drain it from a player. I don't know what gives him the ability to do this, but he most certainly does have it - I've Dispelled it and can provide a screenshot on request. Does anyone have more information on this at all? Cacophony?

Was fighting Alpha Gnole Anders in Jugner Campaign. Mob used this ability and suddenly I had haste and counterstance effect on my 75THF/37NIN. Checked chat logs and found no record of anyone casting haste on me. Counterstance is MNK only, so don't know how I got it. Anyone else have this occur?

I can confirm that Cacaphony does in fact give the target Counterstance, as for haste idk about that. before they made Anders stronger, I would tank him as pld, and Cacaphony DOES bestow the target with counterstance.

strong to dark

tried soloing these as thief, blind and sleep bolts do not stick and bloody bolts do not process on them. Ayrlie 18:04, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Are these really immune to Dark, like the Category:Gnoles page says? For your consideration, as a SCH62/BLM31, with an underskilled Dark Skill... --Kasandaro 04:49, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Beastmen

Shouldn't these guys be under beastmen since they are part of the beastmen forces? --Asantra 21:48, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Should be classified as Beasts.

I intimidated one a few moments ago on my PLD/WAR with my Koenig Shield. The BLU spell also says they're Beasts. --Corrderio

Fenrir ?

I wonder if Fenrir should be added to this Mob family . The Terrestrial Avatars are born from normal animals . While Fenrir and every other Gnole type have almost nothing but appearance in common , it would still seem they are related . Abilities aside , both mobs have a strong tie to moon phase and time of day noted not only in combatting them , but also in the abilities they use . It's clearly stated thru plot that the 3 known Terrestrial Avatars Originate from Common Animals found around the world . It's highly likely that this race is the Origin of Fenrir , while Diabolos' and Carbuncle's origins remain a mystery yet to be solved .--MIKUMARU 17:30, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
