Detect by Magic?

Do they really detect by magic? I tested this a while ago and got no aggro. I know all other arcana detect by magic, but this got me thinking: are mimics arcana? --Jopasopa 17:48, 23 August 2006 (EDT)

They are arcana, Arcana Killer will intimidate them. Arcana also tend to be weaker to magic than the average mob (except pots), and the mimic is weak to magic, and all arcana will detect magic. (Mimics are very resistant to physical attacks). Ones in Pso'Xja behave more normally - and aggro regardless of what they con. Mimics only have a very small detection range (5' sound and magic). High level thieves are able to solo them largely due to bloody bolt and blind bolt usage (along with tons of antidotes). Ayrlie 02:48, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Aht Urhgan Chests

"If the mimic came from a failed lockpicking attempt, the Thief is Weakened, lowering their HP and MP to 1/4. This weakness, like Raise weakness, cannot be Erased."

It claims that this happens in Aht Urhgan areas, yet there are no lockpicked chests in Aht Urhgan. The closest things are the assualt chests, but those don't need to be picked with a key. This should be changed to not include this for Aht Urhgan. --Altimo 11:34, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
