CoP Icon
Should the Tavnazia Flag be the immage for the CoP missions?
- Does the tavnazian flag really seem appropriate woudn't an image of promathia be better? -heretic@fxi
- I don't like the image of promathia for this at all. It should be from the game - if not the flag then back to the scenery. --Gahoo 15:11, 24 August 2006 (EDT)
I don't know ii still like the box art image more. Even if it's not in-game it is the definitive image for COP. Can i get a third opinion on this?-heretic@ffxi
- I like the box art myself, I think we should use that instead of some screen shot.
I like the Tavnazian flag.. and am curious what that weird low-res house picture is that keeps popping up inthe CoP mission section.
Zilart
Given how much Jeuno Ealdnarche and Kamlanut are involved in the zilarts storyline should the jeuno flag be its icon? -heretic@ffxi
- It should be the Tenshodo flag but we dont have a good ingame picture of one. --Gahoo 15:14, 24 August 2006 (EDT)
- In that case can someone out there find a decent image of the tenshodo flag?-heretic@ffxi
- People have tried but there does not seem to be any that are particularly good. SE has not released one anywhere that I know of. --Gahoo 10:18, 25 August 2006 (EDT)

I don't want to go back and forth with heretic@ffxi here. Anyone other regular user have an opinion here? --Gahoo 17:20, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
- Looking at the actual Missions page, it just seems sensible to just use the Tavnazian flag, instead of the face of Selh'teus (not Promathia as was listed above). True we do follow Selh'teus in the storyline all over and he is amongst the central characters... it just doesn't look proper with his Amano-style drawn face amongst all the other nations' flags. The CoP storyline is based on discovering and reacquantincing the rest of the world with Tavnazia's existance again. Ultimately it leads to Nag'molada trying to bring back the glory days of the Zilart by messing with the crystals and resurrecting Promathia... but Tavnazia still remains the city that the story is based around. It's not widely used and hardly recognizable, but that's because websites don't use it to represent Tavnazia and CoP very much, innit? :P --Waluigi 17:35, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
I like the flags. It is consistent with all the other nations. Thus, Tenshodo Flag for Zilart and Tavnazia Flag for CoP. I don't like images of scenery or characters. I always figured they were place holders until something better came along. --Mierin 11:52, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
I like flags. Scenic images never appealed to me. As for the Tenshodo flag, I can probably get a real image just like I did for crafts (oh so long ago). SE releases these fansite packs once in a while and you need to be a community site to access them. Let me fish around and see what I can come up with. --Ganiman 12:41, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
I like the flags too, it keeps it consistent. --Tsakiki 12:49, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
I like consistency, so flags make more sense to me. --Chrisjander 13:30, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
Thanks all. --Gahoo 13:41, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
I like consistency as well, but I feel that the Zilart and Tavnazian flags may not be as recognizable to people who haven't paid attention to their surroundings in-game, or who haven't finished the respective series of missions. Of course, there's a text label right below each image, but I think something more easily, immediately recognizable may be more appropriate here than sticking to consistency with flags. (I do like the Tavnazian flag though. It's pretty. :P )
The Amano box art (for the CoP image) is recognizable because it's at the center of the box art, but it does seem a little out of place next to the other images. Maybe Image:CoPphoto 06.jpg would be nice here if we decide not to go with flags, since the Promyvions are very early on in the mission series. For the Zilart image, maybe we could use a nice overhead shot of Ru'Aun Gardens, since getting sky access is the reason most people do that series of missions.
Anyway, so I guess we should decide whether to stick with consistency or go for recognizability. --Ichthyos 13:47, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
lol, nevermind. I guess I chimed in too late. :) --Ichthyos 13:48, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
It can be changed again - honestly as long as it is not the picture of the face I don't care too much. I am OK with a prommy/sky picture and sea picture as well. --Gahoo 13:50, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
As we all know, I am a huge fan on consistency... But even if I wasn't, I would say that the root of CoP Plot centers around Tavnazia and the the root of the Zilart Plot centers around the Tenshodo. These are the main Focus of each these Story Lines and therefor should be the base for the pictures we will use. And since I am a fan of Consistency, Flags it should be!! I understand the Predicament that not being able to find a good Tenshodo Flag can be but I have faith that we will one day find one and thus so it really isn't that big of a problem and shouldn't stop us from using them as our Pictures. That is my opinion and I am sticking to it!
EDIT:: In regards to People not paying attention... Why even do the Missions then?? The whole point of doing the Missions is to enjoy the story line and to further yourself along, if you aren't paying attention then you really aren't into it or really going to go out of your way to look up how to do the mission... You would prolly just ask someone else how to do it or leech off of the people you go with's experience. I stick by what I said, I think it should be the flags of the areas - not Promy Pictures or Sky Pictures... That just doesn't make much sense to me and doesn't quite follow the logic that the Picture should be the heart of the story line and what is mainly the focus of it all.

Article Text
Now that I look at it the opening text should also be updated. Needs to explain:
- 3 Nations = Rank = increasing signet duration and banner at end
- Zilart = sky access, Divine Might access, Shadows of the Departed access
- CoP = Tavnazian Archipelago and sea access with ring choice at end, Shadows of the Departed access
- Aht Urhgan = access to Assault only ATM
- Assault = Mercenary Ranks = increased sanction duration and assault mission access, IS reward access

San d'Oria Missions Cell First
Shouldn't the San d'Oria Missions cell on be the first cell on the left rather than the Bastok Missions cell? I think this would make sense, because the order in which the nations go in the Missions log in game are San d'Oria, Bastok, and Windurst. I believe they are also listed in that order in the game in other instances as well. Now I could understand if you wanted it this way because you wanted it to be in alphabetical order, but if that was the case you wouldn't have the exapansion missions cells in this order: Zilart Missions, Promathia Missions, and Aht Urhgan Missions. So because these mission categories are clearly not organized alphabetically, I think it makes sense to put the the three nation missions cells in the following order: San d'Oria Missions, Bastok Missions, and Windurst Missions. –Anson 17:46, 8 April 2007 (EDT)
The reason for this is because you are San d'Orian. If you were Bastokan, that would be the first category to appear when you clicked on your missions log. If you were Windurstian, then that one would be first. They should be listed in alphabetical order to have any kind of a pattern. Dorren 03:15, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
