I don't have any proof of this, as I play on PS2, but I have slept the Undead as a WHM in Fei'yin. They conned to me as Too Weak.
Undead are resistant to dark magic sleep spells, but they will sleep to light magic sleep spells.--Pinkfae 11:08, 5 June 2006 (PDT)
WHM don't have light magic sleep spells, only BRDs and BLU have those --Chrisjander 11:29, 5 June 2006 (PDT)

Change the sentence please?
I tried to read this sentence 3 times. It still doesn't make sense in my head.
- Special: In tiers of shadows that do not link, due to a programming error when they were changed from dark knights to black mages in the June 2004 version update, shadows that use great swords link while others in that tier do not.Verification Needed
Could someone reword it? thanks --VZX 20:34, 8 April 2007 (EDT)
Sleep Info
I am 100% sure you can sleep a Shadow, even though it is undead. Changing the category page to reflect this.--Jerm 14:16, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
Linking
Hard to believe it's been almost four years and they still haven't fixed the glitch with the Great-Sword wielding shadows to link. --Mitsukai-Hawke 19:09, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
...not Fomors?
How exactly are these not Fomors? It seems to me that these are all a subset of the (massive) Fomor family, albeit with severely reduced moveset. Shouldn't we just merge these two categories? --Melios 18:08, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Evasion Down
All shadow type mobs have an add effect of evasion down on attacks. Every single shadow mob I have fought, NM and normal variations, have all hit me and will sometime land evasion down on that hit. I'm not sure where to put it so someone please add it. KonigBerserk 03:36, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
Correlation between Fomor and Dark Kindred
Recently, my friend and I (Southern and Arkanis, respectively, on Lakshmi server), did the swift belt NM fights in Sacrarium. As is known, Swift Belt NM's, when popped, zero hate. Southern was the last to go before he left, as he wanted to clear hate for CoP 4-3. Thanks Southern, this resulted in my Swift belt. Anyways, he leaves, and does not return to Sacrarium until 3 weeks later. Meanwhile, I do two more runs and kill Fomors for subligar (for party members). We didn't check hate before doing mission, due to Southern not fighting any fomors since that day. I had level 2 fomor hate upon getting to Sacrarium, and Southern had level THREE hate. When asked about his history, he said he had done Campaign, in which he had fought Dark Kindred, a shadow mob. Mathematically, it was literally impossible for him to have higher hate than me.
Proposal: The link between Fomors and Shadow enemies requires a much closer look. Granted "to date, there appears to be no correlation," hold water. Until now. Fomors are shadow mobs, and it is possible, albeit plausible, that they share hate much the same way as Tonberries do. I'll clear hate soon, and test via shadow killing. Regardless, the statement that there appears to be "no correlation" doesn't sit well with us not completing 4-3 tonight because of unforeseen fomor hate.
Hypothesis: A correlation exists between shadow mobs and fomor hate.
This deserves a further, in-depth, analysis. ~Arkanis - Lakshmi Server
Requested Move
By all appearances, the shadows are a subset of Fomors, and several NMs in Dynamis & BCNM use both Fomor attacks and Dimensional Death. Considering Lamia/Merrow and Slimes/Clots have been merged into a singular category, I think the Shadows/Fomors should be merged together. --Melios 17:31, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
I disagree with the move of Shadows to the Fomor page. I get what you're sayin about other like mobs being combined, but these are different. In that Fomor have a shared hate like Tonberrys and Apkallu, whereas Shadows do not. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Krueglenuts (talk • contribs).
- The Fomors in Near East zones don't have shared hate like Tavnazia fomors either, so that's not really a good argument. --Melios 11:54, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Resolution: Keep as is - Shadows are a different class of mob and Fomors cannot teach Dimensional Death. The fomors in the near east and the CoP areas share all the same TP moves- and neither group can teach this blue magic. There is enough to distinguish them to keep them seperated. If anything, fomors are a subset of shadows, since the shadows existed first. Finally, the two categories are treated as seperate in Pankration- Shadows can be used, and Fomors cannot.
