Can we get some verification on the fame required for Ramuh and Ifrit? This page says 5 fame, but the Trial by Lightning and Trial by Fire pages says 6 fame. --Cort 04:42, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

I'm not trying to wear you down with argument or discussion; I'm genuinely interested in understanding the reasons behind the general disdain that a number of people seem to have for categories. --Alephnot 03:09, 2 March 2007 (EST)

It stems from the creation of alot of categories that have little to no use. We had a Category:Items at one point... which means one more line you have to put on every single item in the game (we have alot ^^). People would create these categories, and provide no information, or follow up with their work. So the admins had a discussion, and we agreed that categories aren't things to be thrown around whenever someone wants to create them. So there is often some debate whenever one is proposed or someone creates one out of the blue. As is, there are a number of new categories being created for food subcategories, which was tossed around for a month or so before it was approved. Either way, at least this category, when it's moved and linked, will look nice with the article we collaborated on, and won't require any further maintenance in the foreseeable future. --Chrisjander 03:52, 2 March 2007 (EST)

Thanks for all of the explanation, the move, and the categorization of each fork. ^^ --Alephnot 15:21, 2 March 2007 (EST)

No problem ^^ --Chrisjander 15:26, 2 March 2007 (EST)

Correction: On the Mini-Fork section, the statement about needing no fame is false. Link: http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/jobs.html?fjob=15;mid=1092674588861471843;page=1 section 9 states needing Level 2 Fame. This comes from Thiefcat, author of the most-stickied L.20 Avatar Fights. Just wanted to point this out for accuracy. [User:Lightningmage]

I'm pretty sure when I went to get the mini tuning fork for Leviathan that I had level 1 Fame, but I could be wrong. Until it can be proven otherwise, I'll change it to show Fame 2 as a requirement. --Chrisjander 22:32, 21 February 2007 (EST)

Keeping the forks?

Seeing as they are considered temporary key-items, are the normal-sized Tuning forks lost after entering the fight with their appropriate Avatar? Also, does having one fork prevents you from obtaining the other forks? --Fuuneko 15:19, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

I got the Tuning fork of earth, Tuning fork of wind and the Tuning fork of lightning, but when I talk to Ronta-Onta in Kazham, he talks about defeating the avatar in Cape Teriggan instead of giving me the Tuning fork of fire (I have lvl 6 windy fame). Am I missing something? --Fuuneko 19:10, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
