Cermet

Cermet is a white bone-looking material that is the primary construction material of the crags. The long spine-like strings of cermet can be found in various areas, such as Qufim Island and Meriphataud Mountains. Many an Evil Weapon can be found near any type of cermet, but oddly not the crags themselves.

A cermet is a composite material composed of ceramic (cer-) and metallic (-met) materials. A cermet is ideally designed to have the optimal properties of both a ceramic, such as high temperature resistance and hardness, and those of a metal, such as the ability to undergo plastic deformation. Cermet was created after World War II, when the need to develop high temperature and high stress-resistant materials in the US became clear. The uses for cermet includes a wide range of applications from the aerospace industry down to the automotive industry was well as many uses in biometrics.
