Notes/Description Chi Blast cannot miss, but Stoneskin will absorb it. This ability does not cause user or target to gain any TP. The damage output of Chi Blast is greatly affected by the MND stat. The damage output of Chi Blast is greatly affected by the number of times a character uses the Boost ability prior to activation. Use of Boost while the Temple Gloves are equipped will also increase the damage output of Chi Blast. Use of Temple Gloves are not required when using Chi Blast to retain the Chi Blast damage boost. Max amount of Boost for best damage result of Chi Blast is 12 before the effect of Boost will wear off.

Macro Syntax /ja "Chi Blast" <t> Since Chi Blast is affected by MND, it may be a good idea to macro in equipment that increases that stat before use.

Chi Blast Damage Formula

The generally accepted damage formula for Chi Blast is as follows: MND * (#Boost * RandomNumber + 1) = DMG where:

• MND is the player's MND stat
• #Boost is the number of times the player has boosted
• RandomNumber is a game determined number between 0.25 to 0.60 (without Temple Gloves) or 0.75 to 1.10 (with Temple Gloves).

This formula has not been confirmed, as people had been reporting a MND*10 cap at 12 boosts.

It is unknown at this time whether or not swapping your Temple Gloves out for MND gear has the desired result.
