Notes:

• Mimic spells successfully cast at them. They do not "reflect" magic. If they are hit by a spell, then they will cast it back at a member of the party (usually the caster or the person with the most hate). For enfeebling magic, they will not cast it back if they resisted the spell.
  • Can mimic white magic, black magic, ninjutsu and songs. This includes spells casted by automatons. Corsair's Quick Draw cannot be mimicked.
  • Cannot mimic blue magic.
  • Can mimic Maiden's Virelai and it will Charm the caster.
  • They will not mimic cure spells cast on party members, but will mimic cure spells cast on it, in turn casting it on a party member.
  • Avatar Blood Pacts such as Blizzard IV are not mimicked, since they're skills rather than spells.
  • They do not "learn" spells, so they will not cast spells on their own after they've mimicked them.
• Colibris may be Silenced (Elemental Seal needed). However, once it wears off, the colibri will mimic Silence as well as any other spells cast on it while it was silenced.
• When their mouth is open, they are readying or casting a spell. If you're sleeping these mobs while pulling for your party, simply sleep them and don't awaken them until their mouth closes. If you wake them after their mouth closes, they will not mimic the spell—most likely sleep—that you have most recently cast on them.
• The Bhaflau Remnants version of the mob is spawned from the Zebra Zachary Rampart.
• The East Ronfaure (S) versions are similar to Lesser Colibri in that they do not mimic spells.
• They can be Aspired.

Historical Background

Colibri is a genus of the Hummingbird family (Trochilidae), mostly comprised of the Violet-ears species, described as "aggressively territorial."
