Historical Background

In Christian demonology (Late Medieval- Early Modern European), Andromalius is a demon with the rank of Great Earl of Hell (not Count), commanding 36 legions of demons. He appears as a man holding a large serpent. He is known for being able to find a thief and their stolen goods and return the goods to their original location. He also punishes thieves and other sinners. He can find hidden treasures, as well as detect evil and crooked or shady dealings. Andromalius is 1 of 72 demons listed in the Ars Goetia (the first section of the Lesser key of Solomon). He does not appear in the Pseudomonarchia Dæmonum.
