  • Activation rate appears low, at least on Paladin. However, HP drain averages a little over half the damage dealt.
  • It is also possible to drain more HP then damage dealt: 77 Pld/Dnc(no samba on) vs. Tough Gigas did damage of 31 and drained 46 Hp.
  • This may mean that HP drained by this sword causes additional damage, similar to that of Bloody Bolts.

Historical Background

Also spelled Dainsleif, it was a sword in Danish mythology which once unsheathed, it must kill or shed blood before it can be resheathed again. It appeared in the tale of Hjadningavig. Dainslaif means "Dain's heirloom".
