Historical Background
"Engetsuto" (also known as "Yanyuedao" in Chinese) translates to "Crescent Moon Sword," or perhaps more directly to "Reclining Moon Blade." It was wielded most famously by the Chinese general Guan Yu in the 3rd century AD, leading to its other name, "Guandao."
