Walkthrough

Kill everything.

• It is possible an NM will pop when you defeat an enemy of that type. (After killing one Slime, Undead Slime popped)
  • With 4 people, only the Undead Leech spawned. We suspect that there may be a percentage chance for the NM type to spawn.
  • We go with 6 people, two "Undead" NM spawned, one East one West.
  • The "Undead" NM is significantly larger and harder, and must be defeated in order to win.
  • The NM is able to spawn in a location not related to the type of mob it is. For instance, the Undead Slime can spawn where the crabs usually are.
• Blunt based DMG is heavily hampered: Leeches and Slimes are highly resistant and very common. MNKs especially may struggle to keep up with other DDs here (Vampiric Claws can be an excellent work around).
• If melee DD fight the slimes, they should sub NIN to avoid Fluid Spread. Having a BLM or two deal with the slimes may be a better choice depending on party setup.
  • The Carrion Slimes do not have MP, so Aspir cannot be used.
  • Take care when sending BLMs to kill the slimes. Be sure to wait until defeated slimes disappear before pulling another one as the NM could spawn, leaving the BLM with both a slime and the NM to deal with.
  • Unresisted Ancient Magics seem to do about 1/3 of a slime's life.
  • See discussion for an alternate strategy to BLM solo/duo for the slimes.
• Despite the flavorful name, Undead Leech/Crab/Slime are not undead monsters.
• Carrion and Undead Toads are undead. Be careful of blood aggro from the Carrion Toads as you approach the last batch of two Carrion Leeches.
