Walkthrough
- This quest is the third of multiple quests involved in the upgrade of Mythic Weapons.
The Battle
Once the battle begins, you will first face off against Zahak.
- Defeat Zahak by killing all 3 heads. Kill heads by using Weapon Skills.
- Seems to be extremely weak. Did not break SCH stoneskin with phalanx up before the three weaponskills were used.
- Will use normal hydra moves.
- Can double attack.
Once Zahak is defeated it will despawn and Balrahn will replace him. Balrahn will not aggro until attacked, giving the player time to rest for full HP and MP before engaging.
- Defeat Balrahn by reaching Level 3 Aftermath. The player must wield their Mythic Weapon during the fight in order to achieve this.
- Aftermath effect seems to be permanent or extended duration during this fight.
- Reaching Level 3 Aftermath must be done in succession. (Must Weapon Skill with 100% TP, 200% TP, and 300% TP in order.)
- Weapon Skills will not count towards defeating Balrahn until he begins taunting the player (he will give a call for each level of Aftermath) even if Aftermath is achieved. (WARNING! If you Weapon Skill at 200% or 300% TP before Balrahn begins taunting, you must wait for the Aftermath effect to wear off before initiating a 100% TP Weapon Skill, as Level 1 Aftermath will not overwrite Level 2 or 3.)
- Balrahn will taunt you upon aggro for the 100% TP aftermath. He will then taunt you for the next aftermath level after you weaponskill him. For instance: Aggro > Taunts for 100% aftermath > 100% WS aftermath > Taunts for 200% aftermath > etc.
- Balrahn doesn't seem to hit very hard. Hit a SCH for 30ish a hit, WS for 200~300 damage.
- There will be a delay after 300% aftermath before the fight ends.
- Balrahn seems to use the top few tiers of weaponskills native to your weapon, including the mythic weaponskill.
- Balrahn can double attack.
- Balrahn can cast through silence. (SCH cast silence on him to start the fight, it landed, but Balrahn cast cure on himself and then engaged. Did not cast spells after that)
After Balrahn is defeated, return to the cemetery in Caedarva Mire.
