Notes:
- Spawned by trading a Sheep Botfly to a ??? at (F-5) behind the Watchtower in Wajaom Woodlands. The ??? says "Broken shards of insect wing are scattered all over..." when clicking it.
- Has about 50,000HP.
- Immune to Silence
- Although somewhat resistant, Slow, Paralyze, and Elegy all work.
- Can be Stunned, Bound, and Gravitied, but it builds some resistance after repeated use. Eventually becomes completely resistant to stun.
- Has a very strong Fast Cast effect. -ga 3 spells take about 2.5sec to cast. Also makes Cure IV almost impossible to Stun and Curaga IV really hard.
- Starts as Black Mage and uses Ancient Magic as well as -ga 3, tier 4 and Sleep spells.
- Uses Manafont at relatively high HP, then at low HP it will use Benediction.
- Makes an apparent change to White Mage when it loses its staff.
- Staff loss can be triggered by breaking his staff with critical hits or Weapon Skills, or by the TP ability Staff Throw.
- As White Mage, Gotoh has Magic Defense Bonus and uses White Mage spells including Barblizzard, Protect IV, Shell IV, Aquaveil, Haste, Paralyna, Poisona, Silence, Cure V, Curaga IV, and Banishga III.
From recent tries, it is noticeable that when he uses haste on himself, his movement speed increases also as a result.
- Recommended to keep Gotoh dispeled, especially Barblizzard and Shell IV to allow mages to nuke at full power.
- Does not always use benediction.
- Can use benediction again 2 hours after it used if it has not been defeated.
- Uses all standard Mamool Ja TP moves as well as Groundburst.
- Will always use Groundburst after Warm-Up
- Gotoh will attempt to use Groundburst on the player at the top of his hate list.
- If Gotoh gets in range to use Groundburst it will go off as long as 1 person is in range of it, regardless if that person has hate or not. It is advised to have everyone get away from both Gotoh as well as the current tank in order to avoid Groundburst.
- Gotoh will not attempt any other TP attacks or spells until Groundburst has either went off or failed by keeping everyone out of range and kiting.
- Groundburst is a moderately quick TP move, but it can always be prevented by a fast stunner, assuming Gotoh does not resist stun.
- Firespit has a huge range (about 30'). Damages is reduced while kiting, unresisted when close.
- Shell and Barfire will drastically reduce damage from Firespit, possibly even reducing to 0.
- Would recommend kiting around the watchtower; straight tanking can be nasty as it spams TP abilities and spells.
- May drop multiple Aurum Cuisses, Enkidu's Mittens, and Naglering.
- Will go into Rage mode 1 hour after it is popped. At this point, it can use Firespit for up to 1500 damage and melee and ranged attacks do very little damage.
