Harlequin Head
From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia
Heads control the AI of the automaton.
Deployment
Follows the enemy at melee range when deployed.
Spell Availability
Spells become available as the puppet's magic skill increases. The harlequin head has access to cure IV and enfeebles.
Curing Priority
Can only cure the master and puppet, prioritizing whoever has more hate. Cures only occur when below a certain percentage of health. See the damage gauge article for more info.
Spells and Enemy HP%
The casting AI changes, based on how much health the mob deployed on has.
| Enemy HP% | Default Casting Priority |
| 75% - 100% | Cure IV -> Bio II -> Poison -> Silence -> Slow -> Blind -> Paralyze |
| 50% - 75% | Cure IV -> Bio II -> Poison only. Other spells cannot be triggered. |
| 0% - 50% | Cure IV only. Other spells cannot be triggered. |
If bio II is not available, the automaton will cast the highest DoT available: dia < bio < dia II < bio II
Spells and Maneuvers
Maneuvers increase the priority of spells of their respective element.
| Maneuver | Spells |
| Ice | Paralyze |
| Wind | Silence |
| Earth | Slow |
| Water | Poison |
| Light | Cure IV -> Dia II |
| Dark | Bio II -> Blind |
