Historical Background

In Greek mythology, Harmonia is the goddess of concord and harmony. On her wedding day, it is said that she received a necklace said to bring great misfortune to those who possessed it; the necklace is commonly called the Necklace of Harmonia. Her Roman equivalent is Concordia.
