Historical Background

Ka may refer to one of seven parts of the human soul according to Egyptian mythology. The Ka was the "Life force," and death was caused when the Ka left the body. The other parts were the Ren, Sekhem, the Akh, the Ba, the Ka, the Sheut, and the Sekhu.
