Honesly i think FF13 should have stayed on the Ps systems. (shure >.> more ppl have a 360, but that woulda made ppl need to get a ps3 ta play ff13 an thus would have boosted SE's income I think FF11 should have been the only multi-console FF game, >:P

I don't understand your comment at all... How would restricting to one console boost SE's income? It may help Sony to have another big PS3-exclusive game, but how does it help Square-Enix? The txtspk didn't help with clarity, either...

I'm with you on that FFXIII should've stayed on PS3, although it probably wouldn't have boosted SE's income. Until this current gen, I always saw PS systems as the system for RPGs, and Xbox as the system for shooters. Simply because xbox has Halo, Gears of War, Bioshock (altho coming to PS3 still using it), etc. and now it seems like PS3 and Xbox have really switched places, as there are a bunch of RPGs coming as either timed exclusives or exclusives for 360 (infinite undiscovery, blue dragon, last remnant, etc.) and more shooters coming for PS3, which i absolutely hate cuz i love PS3 AND RPGs but refuse to buy an unreliable system which is very prone to break like all my friend's consoles have on more than one occasion.

It's a good idea SE had, more people qill be able to experience the game. Of course, it was a pretty obvious move to do for them, since they'll be making way more money that way.

Now, I hope it'll be a good game, I was pretty disappointed by FFXII. And if it is, making it availbable on Xbox will make more people enjoy it ^^

The first that asks "why not on the wii" should think a little longer... a little more... right now go jump off a cliff. :P

wow... that's just awesome. after loving all the final fantasys up to the end of my poorly made ps2's death i can finally play another... without having to shell out another $500... i knew there was a reason i loved SE. great news.

I'm not so upset with this as you still at least have the option of playing it on PS3. But I'm really angry about Star Ocean, ugh. I swore I'd eat my own hat before I bought an XBox platform.

oh yay.... bring it on! i love my xbox 360, quality, particularly the live enviroment, PS3 not quite got it. So to be able to play ffxiii ... i'm happy :)

As off now, only FFXIII is comming, FF Versus XIII(or is it FFXIII versus ?) still being a PS3 exclusive and FFXIII Agito will be for mobile phones, unless they cancelled it.

I knew that FFXIII would becoming to the 360 all along. Just happy that SE finally announced it. Its going to be awesome. SE is making a lot of smart moves when it comes to this round of consoles. {Go where the money is} This game will just be another feather in there cap and a great addition to the XBOX 360 library. My only question is will they make getting achievements for FFXIII as hard as it is on FFXI?

I like a good mix of easy moderate and difficult achievements, so if they have some hard ones im ok with that, ive tried to master FF's before the achievement system so getting proof you can show everyone is definatly a bonus. but they recently added a bunch of low to mid difficulty achievements to XI to help balance it out. you might wanna talk to the achievement bard in whitegate and check em out!

First and foremost, thank you SE for putting FFXIII on the 360. Personally i don't care much about the systems problems as much as I care about the selection of games for it. Besides, I've heard just as many people complain about problems with their PS3 as I have the 360. My 360 still runs beautifully whereas my cousin is on PS3 #3 due to them deciding not to run any discs after a while. But I've been such a huge FF fan since I first played FFVIII when it came out in '99 that I woulda bought a PS3 just for that one game. Now thankfully I don't have to waste that much money for a system that'd only have 1 good game to play.

Oh and in regards to some of those comments higher up on the board, Blackmist: turn your brain on before you make a comment. And DarkTrance: You're right, nothing is sacred, it's business. Anyone that releases a game as an exclusive for a system that is getting stomped by a major competitor is a moron. SE just made the smart move. It's good business.

I was planning on buying a 360 soon for another platform to play FFXI on, and for Halo 3, Gears of War, GTAIV, etc. Then I was gonna buy a PS3 JUST for FFXIII games....umm. Eff that plan, 360 onry.

@ Wraice: my thoughts exactly!

what is all comes down to is this, you go where the money is, and wether you PS fanboys are ready to realize it or not, the money is with the 360.

If you want to look at it positively though, since Versus VIII is still a PS exclusive, if enough people like XIII on 360, they might be willing to continue thier XIII experience with Versus for the PS3, so FFXIII's exposure on multiple platforms might end up selling some PS3s anyway.

Look at it this way fanboys and girls: The series we all know and love is having an expanded audiance which in turn means more people will be able to play and enjoy this bound-to-be awesome game as well as more money in SE's pockets to ensure they continue making more.

I have a ps3 and a xbox360 just like you (Maverick247) and i don't understand your comment. Why can't you just buy it for the PS3 still? I have both systems and i prefer the 360 version of games because ps3 has horrible overscan problems on 1080i so I buy the xbox versions if both versions are available. You have both systems and you like the ps3 version so why dont you just buy the version you prefer? Why do you also have to "hate" the fact that those of us who prefer the 360 version can play it too?

I don't understand why so many people are upset about SE's decision to make XIII a multi-console game. I mean, look at it this way.

How many people do you know that have PS3's? And how many people do you know that have 360's?

I don't know what it's like for everybody else, but where I live, I know like... 4 people with PS3's. And there's only about 3 people that I know that DON'T have 360's. I've tried the PS3's chat system and I HATE it. While on the 360, it's convenient. They're even releasing a group chat feature that will blow the PS3 out of the water.

So of course, they're going to sell more games by selling the game as multi-console. Yeah, they're breaking an age-old tradition. But they're making more revenue. Which means more funding for future FF titles. Wah-lah.
