A lot of the characters that were hacked ended up on this server, so maybe that's why the population is so high. Maybe not though.

Well, i started there because a friend was allready there, my brother followed suit. Since my buddy got a second account we three got 4 users and some 20+ characters. ;) So far i didn't heard about too much hacked charas winding up at Odin, but i guess the Task Force should have the numbers, so SE would be able to sort these cases out. Me and my two gil.

Just increase the price to world transfer service to Odin. For example, $30 to transfer to Odin.

Well there is a large amount of "user groups" that bring there friend on to our server (Odin). For example theres at least 8 of us in the city I live in alone, then I personaly have brough about 10 or so friends into the game on Odin over the years, its just a example of players bringing more of there own RL community into there game life.

Yep, also consider where SE expected the people to go. They 'offered' free switch to Hades for example. Ok, Hades might have a low player base, but seemingly not without a reason, seeing how people tried to get away from there.....

Zackan2002 might b onto something...but mayb they could put restrictions or something on xfer to Odin. Seriously, I <3 Odin. I have RL friends and my own family members on Odin.But it is getting to b very laggy as of late.

I'm not usually a fan of restricting people, but I've been on Odin for some time now and recently I find i can't do anything without having to fight another group of people over it. I like a little competition but theres a certain point where it becomes rediculous. I'm hoping SE can find some way to thin Odin's population cause it's getting a bit rough.

I'm Curious what does a /sea all return for average online at any moment on Odin? I left Sylph when the numbers were apx 5000 and arrived at Remora to about 2500, (now about 1500-2000) If we have 15000 registered accounts here that should still put Odins Logins at any given time under 3500 which should be playable unless Remora is well below the 15000 average.

Well having joined odin because of family on there it is not suprising its over populated and if thats the case what's wrong with other worlds because i still see an awful lot of noobs on there.

I think SE will have to be extremely careful if they do have to take action against certain people on the server because people may be best friends, people may be related people may just like their certain LS. I'm currently on Titan at the moment and will probably stay there although i've been on ifrit a few times and people have in game Wives/Husbands; me for example i have an in game wife and if somebody split us up i'd be furious plus i payed 120k for the wedding...

Yeah i hear ya. I hear there's talk about SE banning people who camp nm's because they are "RMT's". Personally i think it's a load of bull. They should think that some people actually wanna be rolling in it genuinly... It's pathetic really, i'm also married in game and if someone took my wife away from me i'd go mad and its not the gil im fussed about its the person...

i'm not sure if the actual amount of people on the server is so much the problem as it's the level and experiance of people transfering there. when a new person joins the game at lvl 1 it could be months before they'll ever be a high lvl crafter or camp a nm(and a percentage of those people won't make it to a high lvl), but when a lvl 75 transfers there he/she is instantly doing those things, so when thousands of those high lvl people transfer to the server it can soon become a strain on the people who are already there. and to you guys with friends on the server "like myself" i agree that making people already there leave or stopping you from inviting friends isn't the answer so much as stopping the random transfers and taking it off the new sign in screen for a while could be.
