Notes:
- Spawns around E-7/E-8 on Map 2.
- Melee attacks have additional effect: Plague
- Casts fire based Blue Magic (Lowing and Heat Breath confirmed) and Refueling, Blaze Spikes, Firaga III, Fire IV and Flare.
- Has a strong Regen effect.
- Around 35% and again at 15% HP he used his 2hr and started to Draw In and Intimidate everyone. This makes a kiting strategy hard or even impossible.
- Can use Draw In when initially attacked drawing the whole party/alliance to him so killing any crawlers near him before engaging him is recommended.
- Uses all sword and Fomor Weapon Skills.
- Automatically despawns after a wipe, and the text "The monster fades before your eyes, a look of disappointment on its face" appears.
- Possible to TP burn in a similar style to Kirin. Since hate very often can shift to a mage with little given reason, it is recommended all players stand on top of each other to minimize running. Kraken Club zergs will not work without sufficient outside healers on the DRK'. Remember this mob is a Fomor, and thus immune to the effect of Blood Weapon. It is not recommended to attempt this on other Fomor Kings. Taru will AoE petrify, galka absorbs melee dmg, mithra has a silence aura, and elvaan possesses far more dangerous AoE abilities (among them is Grim Halo).
- Seems resistant to damage from physical Blue Magic spells. Disseverment, Frenetic Rip, and Cannonball all did considerably less damage than expected. Cannonball with Chain Affinity and 300tp with cocoon and max STR + VIT gear did 114 damage, Disseverment did between 50-250 averaging around 100.
- Blue Mage magical nukes work better than the physical spells. In nuking gear Regurgitation did between 150-250 consistently and Firespit did between 250-350.
- The skillchain Light will heal Lugh.
Historical Background
Lug or Lugh (pronounced /ˈluː/; modern Irish Lú) is an Irish deity represented in mythological texts as a hero and High King of the distant past. He is known by the epithets Lámhfhada (pronounced /'la:wad̪ˠə/, meaning "long arm" or "long hand", or "left hand"), for his skill with a spear or sling, Ildánach ("skilled in many arts"), Samhildánach ("Equally skilled in many arts"), Lonnbeimnech ("fierce striker" or perhaps "sword-shouter") and Macnia ("boy hero"), and by the matronymic mac Ethlenn or mac Ethnenn ("son of Ethliu or Ethniu"). He is a reflex of the pan-Celtic god Lugus, and his Welsh counterpart is Lleu Llaw Gyffes "Lugh Strong Hand".
