Notes:
- Has a chance to spawn a Chigoe every time it uses TP.
- Will only spawn up to 5 Chigoes per battle.
- Slow movement speed.
- Vulnerable to Sleep and Gravity. Not resistant to magic, making them easily soloable by BLM for good experience, at level 74-75; also soloable by a 69-70 RDM/BLM and 75 NIN/(WAR, DNC, WHM), 75 THF/NIN, 75 PLD/WAR, 75 BRD/NIN and 62+ RNG/NIN saving TP for chigoes. RNG at 62 has long fight and must use sushi while saving TP to use Wasp Sting on Chigoes after Marid is Shadowbinded. Switch to Bloody Bolts to regain HP and use Venom Bolts to speed up kill. Alternately THF can use Sleep bolts to sleep the Marid and focus on the chigoe. Recommended to pull to a tower with no aggro monsters.
- If a Summoner or Beastmaster tries to have a pet tank it, the Chigoes will attack the Summoner or Beastmaster NOT the avatar or pet, making it hard for them to solo.
- A critical hit or a strong Weapon Skill has a chance to break off their tusks.
- Voracious Trunk drains buffs from target and applies them to the mob.
- The Marids in the assault mission "Marids in the Mist" must be tamed with Thunderguard Darts from Assault contact.
