Historical Background

In Norse mythology, Huginn and Muninn (also spelled Munin) were 2 ravens affiliated with Odin. They would fly all around the 9 worlds that composed the Norse universe each day and return at dusk. Muninn would tell Odin what he heard. Muninn means “memory” in Norse.
