Notorious Monster Madness

It's that time of year again... the time of year when boys are made into men... girls are made into women... and passive saplings are made into hulking aggressive Treants... well maybe not really - but it is time for March Madness! If nothing else it is the time to match 64 things up against each other and see where the lines are drawn. And what better to pit against each other in FFXI than your favorite Notorious Monsters. So we here at FFXIclopedia have selected 64 Notorious Monsters to battle it out for the designation as Favorite Notorious Monster.
That's right - the question is not whether Bigmouth Billy can defeat King Vinegarroon, or even whether he can beat Tom Tit Tat for that matter - the question is which NM do you like better. Whether it be because of its name, drops, battle, or special attacks, vote on your favorite NM in each match up. And remember, this is for all the marbles... no second chances, no best of 7, no round robin, and certainly no losers bracket... it's a single elimination death match where the winner moves on and the loser sulks back to whatever cave, marsh or jungle it came from.
As with any March Madness, the rounds are fast and furious:
- Round 1: March 16-19
- Second Round: March 20-23
- Sweet 16: March 24-27
- Great 8: March 28-March 31
- Final 4: April 1-April 4
- Championship: April 5-8
So come one, come all and campaign for your favorites, march on Vana'diel, register new voters - and don't forget to vote yourself - and maybe your favorite will be left standing while the other 63 are left in the dust!
