Historical Background

Ophion was an entity in Greek mythology who ruled the world between the overthrow of Ouranos (Uranus) and the rule of Cronos. Ophion was overthrown by Cronos and the Titans. Ophion means "serpent". Ophion often tends to be left out of the history of Greek mythology.
