Notes:
- Spawned by Quest: Sharpening the Sword
- Appears to have a very potent Fast Cast.
- Hits very hard, 100-125/hit to a high-level character.
- Like all elementals, very resistant to melee attacks. It also has a high magic defense.
- Highly resistant or immune to Requiem and Elegy.
- DoT kiting is the most effective way to defeat it.
- Susceptible to Silence, though not recommended as its melee attacks are far worse than its spells.
- Soloable by most level 75 jobs.
- The PLD that goes with you should be very careful not to get hit by his Stonega II too much, as it will do ~300 damage to it.

Historical Background
In Eastern Slavic folklore, the Polevik (also spelled Polewik, Polevoi), was a field spirit. It appeared as a dwarf with grass in the place of hair and with eyes of different colors. He appears at noon or sunset, wearing all white or all black. He would lead anyone wandering in the fields astray or, if they fell asleep in the field, give them diseases. To appease the Polevik, an old rooster, a toad, and 2 eggs, and, in some accounts, a crow must be placed in a ditch in that field.
