Calm Before the Storm - Misareaux Coast
Cherukiki: Thieving burglar!

Kukki-Chebukki: Burgling robber!

Makki-Chebukki: Robbing thief!

Cherukiki: This is our precious hideout!

Kukki-Chebukki: Where we keep our precious treasure!

Makki-Chebukki: I bet you stole our precious Ducal Guard's ring, too!

Cherukiki: Give it back!

Makki-Chebukki: Give it back!

Kukki-Chebukki: Give it back!

Tenzen: Lord/Lady Player name?
What brings you to this place?

Tenzen: Master Cid wishes to analyze that box to aid in the repair of the airship engine?

Tenzen: My small masters, it seems this vessel is essential for the success of our mission.
I beseech you to surrender the box to Lord/Lady Player name.

Tenzen: We must take to the heavens without delay if we are to save the fifth mothercrystal.

Cherukiki: Lord Tenzen...

Kukki-Chebukki: We are moved by your speech...

Makki-Chebukki: And find no choice but to act as you beseech.

Tenzen: I am most glad to hear that, but please, you need not call me "Lord"...

Tenzen: Lord/Lady Player name, I leave the vessel in your capable hands.
See that it finds its way to Master Cid.

Tenzen: I regret that I cannot accompany you, but I must return with these three.

Makki-Chebukki: You just keep in mind that eventually...

Kukki-Chebukki: We'll get you...

Cherukiki: And your little moogle, too!

Cid: Welcome back, Player name!

So this is the box that everyone's been talking about.

Cid: Tenzen was there to lend you a hand? Well, thank Altana for small blessings!

Cid: I'll get straight to work analyzing this thing!

Cid: Whoops, I almost forgot. I still need you to bring back Louverance from Carpenters' Landing, and Shikaree Z from Bibiki Bay.

Cid: The Celestial Invincible Delver C.I.D. is depending on you!

Calm Before the Storm - Carpenters' Landing
Louverance: Have you come with a message from him?

I hear the matter is urgent...

How do you respond?
Yes, I have a message. <----- Chose this option!
I have no message for you.

Louverance: What's this you say?
A "Master Cid" requests my presence?
That name sounds somewhat familiar...

How do you respond?
Yes, I have a message.
I have no message for you. <----- Chose this option!

Louverance: What's this you say?
You came to request my presence?

Louverance: One moment, sir/madame.
I do believe you are mistaking me for...him.

Guilloud: Sir Louverance!
It's a trap!

Guilloud: That honorless count set this trap to take your life, young sir!

Louverance: Explain this treachery!

Guilloud: I heard word that those vicious Tonberries had been released under the pretense of dealing with an interloping brigand.

Guilloud: They described the bandit as a male Elvaan wearing a mask and bright brigandine armor.

Louverance: ...

Louverance: Once a thief, always a thief.
It seems he is not content with stealing just my name!

Guilloud: Sir Louverance?

Louverance: If you meet this man, give him a message:
If you would call yourself a knight, then you must seek a just cause to champion!

Louverance: Farewell!

Louverance: Lord/Lady Player name...
I must apologize. It appears you have defeated the Tonberries meant for my demise.

Louverance: You are a most resourceful ally.
I will be sure to return the favor in the future.

Louverance: You say that Master Cid requires my presence in Bastok?
I must say, gathering lumber was never my most cherished activity in any case.

Louverance: At last, we journey to the celestial capital of Al'Taieu.
Our confrontation with the Keeper of the Apocalypse is at hand.

Louverance: Let us finish this battle forthwith.
If I am to follow the path of the knight, I must see justice done as a true knight should.

Louverance: And there is no higher cause than saving the would from destruction...
Wouldn't you agree, Louverance Mistalle?

Calm Before the Storm - Bibiki Bay
Shikaree Z: You dispatched that creature for me?

Not what you expected to find, I'd imagine.

Shikaree Z: It slithered up while I was looking for ore, but I let it get away from me.

Shikaree Z: I'm not physiologically predisposed to dealing with squishy, slimy things like that.
I'm glad you came along...

Shikaree Z: Hm?
Cid has called us back from material hunting?

Shikaree Z: So, the battle with the Keeper of the Apocalypse is nigh.

Shikaree Z: No mention is made of the Twilight God in Mithran legend.

Shikaree Z: Is our enemy so dreadful that his name was withheld from the history books?
Or is it because...?

Shikaree Y: Well, well!
You sound defeated before you've even begun, kittenpie.

Shikaree X: Yeah, buck up, Sis!
I've been honing my skills to perrrfection.
With the thrrree of us together, the keeper won't stand a chance!

Shikaree Z: Shikaree Y. Shikaree X.

Shikaree Z: I can't allow you to accompany me.

Shikaree X: Huh!?

Shikaree Y: What do you mean, sugar?

Shikaree Z: We traveled to this continent with three distinct objectives:

Shikaree Z: The subduing of the wyrms that threaten the world with destruction; to learn more of the sleeping gods--they who hold the power to obliterate the Emptiness; to discover the location of Mildaurion--she who knows the method for waking those deities.

Shikaree Z: But I have learned this on our journey:

Shikaree Z: All paths lead to the Keeper of the Apocalypse.
All sins can be placed at the feet of Promathia.

Shikaree Z: The Twilight God.
The deity responsible for thrusting the world into conflict.

Shikaree Z: If conflict can be defined as fighting, then we sin hunters understand the meaning of this curse better than anyone.

Shikaree Z: The reason we fight...
For faith, justice, courage, hope...

For that irreplaceable quality which defines our existence...

Shikaree Y: That would be...

Shikaree X: You can't mean...

Shikaree Z: The sin of Promathia may have been to make us what we are.
And so the act of judging that sin would be a crime unto itself.

Shikaree Z: I must make certain of this matter.
I have long considered the possibility among this companionship, and so might survive the consequences if it turns out to be true.

Shikaree Z: You are not to take up the burden of my agony.
Your duty is to protect the homeland.
Never forget that.

Shikaree Z: Continue on your mission.
I leave the matter of the wyrms and the sleeping gods to you.

Shikaree Y: ...

Shikaree Y: You never change, Sister dear.
Always taking the sweetest parrrts for yourself...

Shikaree X: Sis!
Make sure you come back to us!
Until the day I surpass your skill, you're the image I strrrive for!

Shikaree Z: Good hunting.

Shikaree Z: Now, Player name.
There is one thing I'd like you to know.

Shikaree Z: My rrreal name is Mhag.

Shikaree Z: Remember that for when I die not as a sin hunter, but as a simple Mithran woman.

Shikaree Z: I'll meet you back in Cid's laboratory.

Calm Before the Storm (pt.2) - Metalworks
Cid: This...this is astounding!

This is a working example of the ancients' theories...

Cid: Hm?
You've been to see Louverance and Shikaree Z?
I knew I could count on you, Player name!

Cid: Now I can concentrate fully on my analysis...

Prishe: Whoah!
Old Cid's brain has gone into overdrive.
All those numbers are making me dizzy!

Prishe: Looks like the crystal thingamabob will be back in working order in no time!

Ulmia: One other thing, Player name...

Ulmia: Prishe and I have used the time granted to us by Altana's grace to compose these letters.

Ulmia: There is one addressed to Granpere, one for the Tavnazian patrol, and one for all the citizens of the safehold.

Ulmia: I hesitate to ask after all you have done, but would you deliver these letters to Sueleen in the Sealion's Den?

Prishe: I tried to convince her she was wastin' her time with these sappy messages, but you know how Ulmia gets.

Prishe: Tell Sueleen to hand out the letters if we don't make it back. She can be trusted to do as we ask.

Prishe: Thanks a bunch, Player name!

Calm Before the Storm - Sealion's Den
Sueleen: You were asked to deliver all these letters from Ulmia and Prishe?

Sueleen: And I'm supposed to hand them out if those two fail to return...?

Sueleen: Where on Vana'diel are they thinking of going?
You're not seriously thinking of taking on the wyrms...!?

Justinius: Sueleen, look sharp!
An airship is entering the port!

Tressia: There's a whole lot more of them circling above.
What the hell's going on?

Justinius: That ship...

Prishe: Hey, Player name!
Check it out! That old man Cid's a genius!

Prishe: The airship's been rebuilt shinier than Despachiaire's bald spot.
Hell, with the autopilot Cid installed, it's even better than before!

Prishe: We even got an escort from the Jeuno Armada!
C'mon, let's get this baby back in the air!

Justinius: Where are you off to this time, Prishe?

Prishe: Heh heh!
We're bound for the fifth mothercrystal and beyond!
Next stop: the legendary city of Al'Taieu!

Prishe: The place where ten thousand years of history began.

Justinius: To where...!?
You better make it back here alive, Prishe!

Prishe: No sweat!
I'll be back making trouble before you know it.
Let's go, Player name!

Prishe: The new and improved Celestial Invincible Delver C.I.D. is ready for takeoff!
