Notes:
- Spawned by trading a Bone Charcoal to a ??? at (H-6) on Map 1 of Halvung.
- When the ??? is examined it will say "The ground is carpeted in a thin layer of cinder."
- Fast attack speed
- High defense
- Nuking in elemental skill gear highly recommended.
- Casting Fire based spells on Reacton resulted in no resists with 297 Elemental skill.
- It bears noting that the spawn point is very inconvenient to reach. It's recommended to use Nyzul Isle Staging Point and zone into Mount Zhayolm from the Greater Colibri Camp, via Halvung, then back into Halvung at (E-9). From there you must go past two operating lever doors and a number of True Sight trolls to get to the gate at (K-9). On the other side of said gate is a different map, and Reacton's spawn point. Found it easy just to fight enemies on the way to camp. Bombs on the way to pop spot can drop pop items for Big Bomb NM.
- Suceptable to Paralyze.
- Suceptable to Slow.
- A combo of Slow2 and Paralyze2 is highly recommended.
- Immune or extremely resistant to Silence.
- Immune to Stun; however, spells can be interrupted via physical attacks.
- Does not seem to possess any noticable Fast Cast effect in any of his forms.
- Increases in size as the fight progresses, like Friar's Lanterns. Each size increase results in a large attack boost, access to new spells, and TP abilities.
- Initial Form: Appears to cast no spells. Favors using the abilities: Berserk and Vulcanian Impact.
- Second Form: Casts spells Fire through Fire III, Firaga, and Blaze Spikes. Continues using previous abilities as well as Heat Wave.
- Third Form: Casts spells Fire III and Fire IV, Firaga III, and Flare II. Continues using Heat Wave and begins using Hellstorm.
- Forth Form: Casts no spells. Immidiately uses Self-Destruct; after which, he will automaticly die and drop his items.
- Multiple WHMs or SCH/WHMs recommended for Esuna or Accession + Erase. The Burn effect of Heat Wave combined with -aga spells make melees' HP difficult to keep at safe levels.
- Skillchains and magic bursts seem a must, dragging on this fight is not wise.
- Blue Mages, Scholars, or Summoners in Party for Stoneskinga, makes this fight much easier.
