Notes:
- Appears in battlefield event for Smash! A Malevolent Menace. This is the final boss battle for the A Moogle Kupo d'Etat storyline.
- Susceptible to Bind and Gravity, gradually building resistance to both.
- Takes considerably increased damage from all attacks (e.g. BLM tier 4 nukes can easily exceed 3000+ damage).
- Instead of melee attacking, he uses a ranged bomb attack that causes a sharp knockback.
- He has two main TP moves:

- The fight has three stages:
- Phase 1: Get Riko to 50% (30,000 HP), he'll summon five Henchman Moogles (BLM) and will retreat to the top of the stairs, where two WHM Henchman Moogles will heal him to full health. This process takes about 90-100 seconds. You cannot deal any damage to Riko or the WHM Henchman Moogles during this time. If you manage to kill the Henchman Moogles before Riko fully heals and retreat to the Throne Room door, Riko will not aggro you. This can give you some time for mages to heal MP.
- The BLM Henchman Moogles do not despawn if they are not killed before Riko re-appears.
- Phase 2: Get Riko to 50% again, he will summon five BLM Henchman Moogles and retreat to the back. Same as first phase.
- Phase 3: At 50%, he will summon five BLM Henchman Moogles, but not retreat up to the top. Riko can also use Crystalline Flare at any point below 50% HP. It is advised to sleep the Henchman Moogles and go all out on Riko.
- In addition, at around 75% health, he draws in the party and uses his main attack: Crystalline Flare. This deals heavy damage, long duration stun and blind effect. This move is not used at 75% in the third round; instead, it is used randomly below 50%. He does not Draw In in the third round.
- Summon 5 BLM Henchman Moogles three times during the battle when his HP reaches 50%, during which time he goes to the back of the room and is cured to 100% by two WHM henchmen moogles. During the third phase he will not be healed and will stay in the battle field.
- The battle automatically ends when he is defeated.
