Notes:

  • Seems to have free roam of the entire zone.
  • Killing this monster is rumored to keep the other monsters from randomizing hate control to alliance. Not killing it results in a message appearing stating the monsters in the area have become restless.
    • My LS has tested this rumor, seconds after we killed Saehrimnir the message appeared saying that they were restless. It may appear randomly if you kill him or not or it just may only appear if you kill him.

Historical Background

In Norse mythology, Saehrimnir (properly spelled Sæhrímnir) was a giant boar who was killed by Andhrimnir, the cook of the Aesir (Norse gods) and cooked in the magical cauldron Eldhrimnir. It was used to feed the Einherjar. It would resurrect the next day every day after it was killed.

The choice for Tiger is odd since Saehrimnir was a boar. A Bugard or Wivre might have been more mythologically appropriate.

Saehrimnir is Norse for “the blackened”.
