Notes:

  • Fought in the battlefield event for A Crystalline Prophecy 11: Ode of Life Bestowing.
  • Physical and magical defense is rather high, but heavy physical attacks tend to work better than heavy magical ones.
    • BLM needs some added skill to avoid resists, and unresisted nukes do about a third of normal damage (T3 ~200, T4 ~320, AM2 ~450).
    • Susceptible to Threnody.
  • Has very low evasion.
  • Builds resistance to Souleater fast.
  • Has approximately 25,000 HP.
  • Its standard attacks do magical damage instead of physical.
  • All of its offensive abilities, including its standard attacks, are radial AoE centering around the crystal.
  • All damaging attacks from the crystals are magical damage. The only source of physical damage in this fight comes from the Seed Thralls.
  • It is possible for its attacks and TP moves to execute, but not actually hit anyone (if the whole party is out of range).
  • Will build resistance to Stun, though it takes repeated use. As long as stuns are only used for the aoe spells, stuns should continue to function throughout the entire 30 minutes. (RDM/DRK only using Stun for nukes over numerous 20-30 minute battles never encountered one Stun resist)
  • PLD/DRK is able to stun the aga spells throughout the entire 30 minutes if only stunning aoe spells, stunning for hate will cause resistance to build and stun immunity before the 30 min mark.
    • Simply avoid spamming Stun but instead reserve it for aoe spells only.
  • Special Abilities
    • Magic: Stonega/Waterga/Aeroga/Firaga/Blizzaga/Thundaga III (once every 40-70 sec or if someone gets low HP)
    • Draw In
    • Seed of Nihility: AoE Damage (~200-400). Resets timers on all job abilities that are ready for use on all affected party members to their maximum recast within range of the move. This includes 2hr abilities. This attack will not affect charges for Stratagems or Quick Draw, nor abilities that are already waiting on cooldown. Can be used immediately starting the fight, so it is advised for close-range/melee 2hrs to use it on the ramp prior to the party engaging.
    • Seed of Deference: AoE Charm and Mandragora Costume. It has a short range but can be used immediately after a Draw-In. Avoidance of this attack is key for a smooth battle.
    • NOTE: Seed of deference causes anyone effected by the charm status, to be granted full MP.
    • Seed of Deception: Makes a clone of a random party member. The clone will be called Seed Thrall and it will initially attack the player with hate on the crystal, but hate is not shared and it can be easily pulled away from its initial target (such as a backline mage resting). Thralls are fairly weak, with only approximately 500-600 HP. More than one Thrall can be spawned at once. They should be killed ASAP to avoid pileup.
    • Seed of Judgment: Heavy AoE damage (~700-1300), knockback, and all 7 primary stats down. Utsusemi does not prevent knockback but did absorb damage from this attack. Only starts being used under 50% HP. Unstunnable (will use immediately after it is no longer stunned.) This attack is instantaneous and can reach everywhere in the zone except right at the back, near the door.
