Summons Shiva to fight by your side.

Description Spell cost: 7 MP (initial; See Avatar Perpetuation Costs) Spell element: Ice Magic skill: Summoning Magic Jobs: Summoner Level 1 Notes Using Avatar's Favor with Shiva active will create an aura granting Shiva's Favor (Magic Attack Bonus +) to party members within the area of effect. Shiva is resistant to Paralysis.

Timers Casting Time:7 seconds Recast Time: 30 seconds

Double Slap	50	96	S	Delivers a twofold attack.
Blizzard IV	60	118	T	Deals ice elemental damage.	Damage varies with TP.
Rush	70	164		Delivers a fivefold attack.
Heavenly Strike	75 (Merit)	182	T	Deals ice damage to an enemy. Varies with TP. Additional merits add a 40% TP Bonus effect per merit level.

Blood Pact: Ward

Blood Pact	Level	MP	S/T1	Description	Comment
Frost Armor	28	63		Gives party members within Area of Effect the effect of "Ice Spikes." Lasts 90 seconds. Each summoning magic skill level over the current skill level cap will add three seconds to the duration.
Sleepga	39	56		Puts all enemies within Area of Effect to sleep.	Equal to the black magic Sleepga. Will not overwrite and is overwritten by Sleepga II.

¹ S/T column indicates whether a particular Blood Pact participates in Skillchains (S) or uses TP (T). Blood Pacts that use TP can be used as a Magic Burst; however, Astral Flow can also Magic Burst even though it does not use TP.

How to Obtain

Quests:

• Trial by Ice - ~Level 60 battle; offers other rewards as well.

--OR--

• Trial Size Trial by Ice (Level 20 capped solo fight- Summoner only)

Avatar Information

The queen of winter, said to have dominion over the glaciers of the north. Shiva aids the summoner with her command over cold and ice.

Summoners can acquire the ability to summon the avatar Shiva by defeating Shiva Prime in either the Trial Size Trial by Ice quest at level 20, or the Trial by Ice quest at a much higher level (65+).

Other Information

• Shiva of Indian-god fame is male, but the incarnation used by Square Enix in Final Fantasy XI, and all other Final Fantasy games is female.
• Shiva is also the name of a Jewish prophet.
