Overview

Image:Sigil (Status Effect).png For adventurers entering into a pact of service with the Allied Forces, the Sigil effect can be acquired by speaking with an Allied Officer. A variety of beneficial effects can be added to the Sigil at the cost of some Allied Notes to the player. There are some instances where defeating a monster while bestowed with Sigil will result in the dropping of crystals.

Name Location
Miliart, T.K. Southern San d'Oria (S) (L-10)
Millard, I.M. Bastok Markets (S) (G-4)
Mindala-Andola, C.C. Windurst Waters (S) North (G-5)
  • The effects of Sigil is limited to Crystal War areas.
  • You can obtain Sigil from any Sigil NPC, even if your alliegence is with another nation.
  • If your current Campaign Medal is expired, you will not be allowed to re-acquire Sigil until you have received an evaluation.
  • Sigil initially lasts 3 hours 15 minutes, and lasts an additional 15 minutes for each additional level of medal you own.
  • Players can only have one of the following effects at a time: Sigil, Sanction, Signet.
  • When getting Sigil, you can choose one or more of the following effects for 50 Allied Notes each.
  • If your allied nation has enlisted Titania as a freelance you can choose the following effect for 100 Allied Notes:
    • Decreased EXP loss (Note: you do not have to receive Sigil in your nation to choose this option. A Windurstian citizen will still get this choice when receiving Sigil in San d'Oria when Windurst has control of Titania)
  • The following effects are always granted (all similar to Signet):
    • You will receive an Experience Points bonus when in a party of less than 6 people.
    • You will not lose TP while resting.
    • The rate in which HP is recovered while healing is increased.

The caps on Sigil bonuses are dependent on how many areas your nation has control over. For example, Regen only works up to 65% of your HP if you have 2 areas under control, but worked up to 70% when 5 areas were under control (this includes the nation itself). When only the home city is under Allied Forces control, the refresh and regen work up to 40% of maximum MP and 50% of maximum HP respectively. With 2 areas under home nation's control, MP refreshed to 92 of 243 max MP (roughly 37.9%).
