• Mutes target. Damage varies with TP.
  • Silences the target for 15-20secs.
• Will stack with Sneak Attack.

Skillchain Usage

When performed after a Gravitation-based (Earth & Dark) Skillchain, Tachi: Gekko result will be a high-level Darkness Skillchain. When performed after a Fragmentation-based (Wind & Lightning) Skillchain or weapon skill, the result will be a Distortion-based (Water & Ice) Skillchain. With the introduction of the new weaponskill Tachi: Rana, it is now possible for Samurai to perform their own Darkness Skillchains with Tachi: Gekko.

This weaponskill's original name in the Japanese version is:

八之太刀・月光 (Hachi no Tachi: Gekkou)

"The Eighth Style of the Tachi: 'Moonlight'."

The kanji are 月 (Getsu): "Moon", and 光 (Kou): "Light". This is reflected in the weaponskill itself, as the animation illustrates a brightly glowing moon. The moon also has a thin, lime-green, outer circle with Hebrew letters, which translate to, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.".

Levels

• Tachi: Gekko is only available to Samurai. While other jobs can obtain the required 225 Great Katana skill through the use of merits and special equipment, they will be unable to use Tachi: Gekko.
• Great Katana skill level 225 is obtainable by the following jobs at these corresponding levels:
