Possibly needs to be used with Ace's Helm? --Jinxs 16:37, 2 November 2006 (EST)

Latent trigger

Just a thought, it might trigger when 'Seigan' is active. Considering that none of these jobs have natural counter and all can use Seigan effectively (Primary weapons are two-handed), it seems that it would. I'll do some testing with this later on. - Sellsword 02:30, 5 July 2007 (CDT)

Definitely noticable. It seems to increase it, but it need's Seigan + Third Eye to trigger. Maybe we need some clarification on this? But as far as I'm concerned, it works. - Sellsword 02:36, 7 July 2007 (CDT)

Tests I've done...

Been trying to get latent to trigger without Seigan and Third Eye both being active (just doesn't seem like SE would make that the trigger when the locket was put in the game before Seigan even existed).

Tried and didn't work:

DRK/SAM
Seigan only
Hasso only
Third Eye only (tested this 30+ times at 1 anticipate per Third Eye)
Last Resort
Souleater
Arcane Circle
Warding Circle
Red HP
Arcana mobs + Arcana Killer trait + Arcane Circle

DRK/NIN
Having Utsusemi up

Stuff I wanna try:

DRK/MNK pre-Counter trait

DRK/COR (since Ace might hint gambling related stuff)

Haste spell

COR rolls (including correspondent rolls, that would suck for DRGs tho) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ilean (talkcontribs).

I got the latent to trigger

Counter went off as DRK/COR 3 times, all times I was in red HP and at least 2 of them I had less than 100 TP, tested this a lot staying in the red, I'd say the counter proc rate would be less than 1% (unless the trigger is more complex than red hp and < 100 TP).

So either "Counter+5" is worth crap, or the trigger is really retarded.

No, it's not worth much unless you have the actual Counter job trait. It's the same for nearly all (job trait)+ gear. Azulmagia T/CSite 03:08, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Well some guy got counter to go off as /RDM, and I just did as /COR, I'm deleting the line that says Seigan + Third Eye is the trigger. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ilean (talkcontribs).

Active while under the effect of "Phantom Roll" where the number is 1 or 11. Ace's. Get it? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Stinkophiliac (talkcontribs).

  • Honestly, that sounds quite plausible, considering the DRK who tested it was /COR. --Shentok 17:56, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
