Numbers Needed

We tried this for the heck of it last night with 11~ people for most of it.

• PLD/NIN (Kiter)
• WHM
• RDM
• SAM
• RNG
• BLM (2box'd)

• PLD/NIN (Add tank)
• WHM (2box'd)
• BLM
• WHM
• WAR

At first we pulled it just outside the 75 exp area, but later we pulled it further away to the G/H8 area so the rams would take longer to get to us. The NM is easily (?) sleepable and we slept it if one of the PLDs were down when a ram came or we were low on MP.

About halfway we did SAM > RNG : Fragmentation SC for the BLMs to MB it. Really need a WHM to follow the kiter and remove Max HP Down and Petrify. He would hit me for 380-420 per hit with my kiting (pure enmity) setup. Swapping in -DMG gear when he doesn't have Gravity on would be a good idea.

Also, when he would cast Holy, he'd do it 3-4 times in a row and not move when he did. Overall it took us about 2 hours to kill him with a few deaths. --Mosh-Ifrit 00:04, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Spawn Item

Does trading the Relic Shield to spawn Amaltheia result in losing the shield?

After consulting the Paladin forum, it seems the shield is lost when traded (as is usual for most, but not all) ??? trades. I'm updating the page to reflect this.

Yes you only trade the stage 1 "Relic Shield" found uncommonly in Dynamis-Jeuno. You do NOT trade any form of upgraded relic shield I rocky 21:02, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
