Talk:Ayakashi

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

There's some question as to whether this bird still exists. The BCNM it was in was added in April 2004. There seemed to be Ayakashi, Neman, and Macha. But later, it seemed to be changed to 1 Macha and 2 Neman. Someone who can participate in the BCNM should go into it and confirm which mobs are in there and how many there are... and take screenshots of them. If Ayakashi is not among them, please do not eliminate the entry. Just note that Ayakashi was removed from the game on so-and-so date (I can dig that up probably). There are some mobs removed from the game. There was some bunny in Cape Terrigan that was only around from April 2003- October 2003. --zoogelio-forgot-his-password 17:26, 26 Jan 2006 (PST)

Hmm, can someone check the dat files in Waughroon Shrine to see if Ayakashi appears in this BCNM or in the SAM AF NM (the name Ayakashi came up once in a SAM AF guide from early 2004 as a Shiva was summoned by one of the NMs, only its name was Ayakashi)? --zoogelio-forgot-his-password 20:21, 5 Feb 2006 (PST)

The Mystery of Ayakashi

I found 3 Ayakashi listed in Waughroons .dats as of July 2003 (yes, 200*3*). I'm wondering if other people can help me on this since Ayakashi seems to be one of the more mysterious parts of FFXI, like Goblin Wolfman. Ayakashi seems to be an Avatar occasionally summoned in place of an elemental. Not sure if its more powerful than the usual Avatar summoned or what. We know 1 Ayakashi belongs to the SAM AF BCNM in Waughroon, so where do the other 2 belong? And were any more Ayakashis added since July 2003? Heck, if anyone has some speculation that may explain more of Ayakashi, please post it here. --zoogelio-forgot-his-password 19:15, 10 April 2006 (PDT)

I think maybe Onki can have 3 Ayakashi out at once? It would make sense to me since a summoner can use an Astral Flow Blood Pact up to 3 times.
