Talk:Balik Sis
From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia
As of the March 10th Update, this is now a GP item, LOL! SE Sneak Attacked us! Max is 4160 and each one is 600 points a piece. I bought them from NPC so no idea what the HQ goes for >.<--Gaea 16:07, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I wish Square-Enix would put a little more care into adding things like this as GP items. The fish to make them are extremely rare to find on the Auction House, and whilst I realise they are probably trying to make them more popular to sell by doing things like this, it doesn't help chefs in general out, as most of us don't have another character we use exclusively to fish with.
A stack of these from the NPC in Whitegate costs 36,000g. And that's the only way to get Balik sis right now on Garuda unless you have a friend who can fish the Kilicbaligi.
Whilst I praise the step in the right direction adding new GP items, they have gone backwards adding an item un-makable in the current climate. -- Aequis 12:26, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Anyone confirm whether or not this recipe works with the Bhefhel Marlin? I tried it today since it is up for guild item and got the wrong synthesis materials message. This is at level 72 cooking with advanced img support. Perhaps the recipe is wrong. If any one knows please let me know because I am uncertain if I should put in a suggestion to SE about linking the western and eastern analog fish for cooking. It also is not listed with the img support npc's who provide recipes.

I confirmed that it does not work with [Bhefhel Marlin]. I spent the whole afternoon fishing for it and when it came time to synth it, it told me that combination of materials cannot be synthesized. --Moreana 00:28, September 7, 2009 (UTC) Moreana/Cerebus
