With the June 5 update, it can no longer be thrown. Unfortunately they have not added a way to be able to reobtain the item yet for those users that threw it in the past before this update. Hopefully they add a way to reobtain the item in the near future, I have already sent in a suggestion to them on Playonline.com so they add a way for someone to be able to reobtain it.
