Given that probably less than 1% of the players in the world have access to ALL of this gear is there any practical value to this guide? ---- dibble 09:31, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Even if someone did I would say there is no practical value for any except the hMP set- loading up exclusively on one stat is a recipe for disaster on BLM. You gotta know your enemy and mix & match accordingly. --Toksyuryel 07:18, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Two comments:
First, Ice Staff and Aquilo's Staff have increased Elemental Magic Skill.
Second, to other commenters, this is a tool if you are looking for the best possible item in a given slot. Once you have located the best item, you can decide if it's worth the cost and then walk back from there to something more reasonable. --Ctownwoody 00:47, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

"Guide" seems like just a simple lookup on wiki about the item that gives the most in the slot for the corresponding stat, and is therefore mostly useless for practical use. A more useful division of the various sets a BLM would actually collect and use are: maxmium damage set, maximum accuracy set, enfeebling set, dark magic set, hMP set, and idle set. --ImperialPanda 15:48, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
