- I'll point out that there are others linked to from the black mage page, that still do not follow the conventions. But I'm ok with the move :-) --Theferret 16:34, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
I concur. --Melios 00:00, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
I'd just like to make the point that this:
"I am *NOT* doing the "sub ninja" thing. I think that is cheating"
is the biggest fault with this guide. /NIN is a great way to solo on BLM of any race (I'm Elvaan BLM75, I solo'd most of 50-70), it keeps you safe while you cast Sleep, and lets you nuke > sleep > nuke again to finish the mob off. It means when you fail on one-shotting a BST pet, you're less likely to die. I was pulling xp chains in Gustav around 50 with very few problems (except for slow mob repops) thanks to Utsusemi. - You could just as well say of ANY job, "/NIN is a great way to solo ....". But it's not really using the job. Hence why i call it cheating. I mention using various subjobs, and even using subjob specific skills. But I try to keep the focus on how the subjob benefits the primary BLM job. (ie: int, mp). In contrast, /nin adds nothing to blm functionality. It's just a generic "keep you alive, throw gil at it" hack. --Theferret 23:32, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
The moldy earring is very good to use at 47+ Gives +5 MAB (Xiath, June 2009)
Sleep accuracy is derived from Enfeebling skill rather than Dark Magic, so it is this which you want to swap in instead. Good guide though (another Elvaan BLM) --Vevau 12:40, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
