You must have started The Requiem (AF2) before you can start this quest.

If you have any other Borghertz's Hands quest active you will need to complete that one before you can get this quest.

After starting the quest, you can obtain the rewards in any order.

The quest is marked complete upon obtaining the gloves.

Ok i am really confused about the Borghertz's Hands quest I have gotten my WHM Head item does this quest have to be active for that bc i also got my smn af and as of yet not gotten my WHM hands. I got my all my SMN AF after obtaining my WHM head item. Could someone please advise on how this works.

Here is how I Ponder what would happen. If your a THF and you have not gotten a THF AF item and you start a quest for BRD Hands and you pick a lock on coffer in Castle Zvahl Baileys you'd get your thf AF 1st and then the next time you pick a coffer you'd get your BRD hands key item. Since the other AF items have to be opened with the job you have then ether you have to be on the AF2 quest to obtain the items in the coffers or you can have multiple hand quests active. Could someone test aqnd report.

Also I am going to falg the BRD AF hands and then the blm AF hands since I am sure i have not gotten the BLM hands quest started.

Ok tested and found out you do not have to have this quest active or compted to obtain the AF items from Coffers. After you activate AF2 quest it allows you to obtain items. Tested before starting AF2 and got gil from coffer. Activated it and was able to open coffer in 38 mins later to obtain item.
