Did a 100 hit test to see what came up, this was done at 71% moonphase, lightsday, as 75BST/37WHM. (Each fraction represents the amount of hits until Double attacked was achieved.) 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/2 + 1/12 + 1/10 + 1/5 + 1/23 + 1/3 + 1/5 + 1/13 + 1/1 + 0/18 = 11/105 or if you want, 11/100, since I could have quit at 0/13. Now, this could one: disprove that job specific "merits" aren't actually viable,(since I have +5% DA in merits as WAR75) or two: say that brutal earring is ACTUALLY 10% instead of 5%, or three: 5% is based on timer, not hits, or four: I'm lucky, but whatever way ... as beastmaster this activates ALOT for me, so I love it. Small sample size. Try more like, 5000 hits then come back.--Bsphil 17:11, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Anecdotal response is definitely pointing to >5%. I had other thinking that it may be biased with weapon delay/handedness, because I hear of THF getting crazy double attack sprees with daggers, while DRK/SAM sees less. --Ranzear 06:35, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
You'll see DA proc'ing more with a low delay weapon because you'll get to swing faster, so the more you hit the more the chances to see it.
Parsing results
During crit% parsing tests @ BlueGartr as BLU/sch, i used this ear to get more hits, so got following results (in Extra Attacks tab from KParser) :
Parse n° : extra attacks/Total Melee Rounds = DoubleAttack%
- 592/12832=4.61%
- 727/14662=4.92%
- 986/19270=5.12%
- 655/13045=5.02%
- 654/12572=5.19%
Totalling them makes: 3614/72381 = 4.993% ± 0.159% with 95% confidence. Masamunai 14:22, November 3, 2009 (UTC)
