For the record, the drop rate from Wadi Leeches is prohibitively low; I gave it a try with PLD/WAR and saw no drops in just over 100 kills. -- Zerobandwidth 06:41, 5 July 2007 (CDT)

This also drops form the Carrion Leech in the Extermination. Obvoiusly not a great place to farm, but seems to be a higher drop rate than some others I've seen. Someone who can edit better than I, should add it to the list. ShadowKatze 06:15, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

It seems to be impossible to have the ruby drop unless someone in the party has not unlocked summoner. Out of the thousands of Thread Leeches I've killed in Pashhow, I've never seen Carbucle's Ruby drop. This may seem obvious but I'm more or less pointing out for anyone seeking the best drop rate based on the wiki's results: most people who farm leeches and update drop rates got their ruby a long time ago and therefore the drop rates listed for the ruby are likely to be far lower than they actually are. --Chaosdruid 19:48, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

I've had rubies drop when farming leeches (solo), even after I unlocked Summoner. However, having the quest active most likely boosts the drop rate, much like the drop rate for Orcish Mail Scales is rumoured to be boosted by having the associated mission active. ~ Karuberu 02:00, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

From what I understand of the quest, you can't start it until you have the ruby in your inventory. So we're stuck with the crappy droprates. --Eisenzahn 03:08, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

No, I've had approx. 13 rubies drop in the past 3 months while farming leeches, I seriously wanted to scream cause I went through hell getting it the first time >_< Myzou 14:20, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
